School Development Plan
Gokalpura is a most
Egriculteral pron village having a population of 2513 in Sanand block of
Ahmedabad district,Gujarat.Most of the villagers are Marginal farmers and
labourers.NTFP is one another source of income for the people.It is remarkable
that about 20% family migrate every year to brick-kiln of Gujarat for their
livelihood. The village has primary school from class 1 to class 8.School
Management Committee formed on 10-06-2014 has 13 members in it including 5
women members.
The committee members
have got training on Right To Education and School Development Plan [SDP] by
the voluntary organization Gyansarjan.With the recommendation of SMC four
members from Youth club and adolescent girls group have also got training on
SDP by Gyansarjan,SMC has taken steps for making of SDP for primary school.This
includes Survey of HH in the village,primary data collection from school and
AWC,making a school map,School infrastructure mapping etc.About 15 persons from
SMC,Youth club,adolescent girls group and staff of Gyansarjan participated in
the process.All these activities continued for 7 day and finally a draft on SDP
was prepared and shared with the community on dt.09.06.2014 for finalization
and approval.The SDP is as follows.
A meeting of school
Development committee [SMC]and Guardians of Primary School,Gokalpura was
organized at 11;00 am.on Dt.10.06.2014 at school premises in the chairmanship
of Mr.Jitendra Patel .There was a discussion on Right to Education and School
Development Plan[SDP] followed by well come address and self introduction .Then
a School Development Plan was prepared for Gokalpura Primary School[GPS] It
come as a result of some process which was organized for last few days by SMC
with support from Youth club, Adolescent girls group and technical support from
social organization Gyansarjan.These processes were as follows
Socio-economic educational
and demographic data of all HH in the village was collected by HH survey in a
specially designed format.Especially information about 3-5 and 6-14 year
children like school enrollment, drop outs, never enrolled CWSN and information
of migrating children were brought out.
These information were
tallied with the Primary school DISE data AWWC data and data from village
migration register.A final set of data on school enrollment, drop outs,never
enrolled and migrating children are attached here with this document.
School management
committee with support from guardians and teachers prepared an infrastructure
map of primary school.This included information on the school Also included
plan for further requirement of the school.
